Come to Baragiano
Location
Located at 625 m above the sea level, in the north-western part of Potenza province, only 30 km away from Potenza, in the hearth of the Marmo Platano, Baragiano offers breathtaking scenery dominated by the vegetation, due to the presence of water, coming from two streams – Isca and Marmo – which form, down the slopes of the hill where Baragiano stands, the river Platano. And it is precisely the presence of water and the lush vegetation, today characterized by forests of turkey oaks, beeches, and firs, that favoured the concentration of settlements in the area in the archaic period which made the area the heart of Lucanian archaeology.

By autobus
Once in Potenza, catch the Trenitalia replacement buses or the Liscio bus lines..
By Train
From Naples (railway line to Potenza) to Baragiano railway station.
From Potenza (railway line to Naples) to Baragiano railway station.
By plane
The closest airports are Naples and Bari.
You will then have to catch a bus or a train or hire a car there.

By car
From Potenza
Drive on the E847 to Picerno and then take the Picerno-Baragiano provincial road to your destination.
From Naples
Take the A3 SA-RC motorway until the Sicignano junction, then follow the Potenza-Sicignano motorway junction until the Picerno exit. Keep on driving on the Picerno – Baragiano provincial road to your destination.
From Bari
Follow the signs for Matera and then continue on the SS7 until the entrance to the SS 407 Basentana road. Then keep on driving towards Potenza. From Potenza, take the E847 and drive towards the Picerno exit and then take the Picerno-Baragiano provincial road to your destination.
